Oze is a national park and excellent hiking destination in the mountains about 150 kilometers north of Tokyo.
The most popular area of the park is Ozegahara Marshland, which is about 1400 meters above sea level.
There are hundreds of small and specific pools there.
Ozegahara is extremely beautiful during the autumn colors in late September and early October when the grasses of the marshland turn yellow and red. It is also a fairyland when the white skunk cabbages are in bloom in late May and early June. One of the attractive images of this marshland is when the yellow alpine lilies are in bloom in late July and early August.
Enjoy the autumn Oze!
