Crystal Cherry Blossom Trees@ Hakone Glass Museum

Hakone Venetian Glass Museum is Japan’s first art museum specializing in Venetian glass, and exhibits works
from the 15th to 19th centuries and also modern pieces. There are also Glasswork workshops which makes this place a spot you can enjoy all day long.

Two crystal trees attract visitors at this Museum which is going to be exhibited till May 23rd.
One of the trees which has the image of mountain cherry tree is 7.5 meters tall, with about 50,000 pink and green crystal glasses which resemble cherry blossoms and leaves.

The other tree  has the image of weeping cherry blossoms called “Shidare Cherry” in Japanese.
It is 6 meters tall with about 38,000 red and green crystal glasses resembling cherry blossoms and leaves.

Crystal glasses shine in seven colors when they are exposed to sunlight.
