Kinkakuji Temple, Golden Pavilion is one of the most popular places in Kyoto.
It is a Zen temple and top two floors of this temple are covered with gold leaf.
In front of the temple building there is mirror pond and you can see the beautiful reflection of the temple in the water of Kyokochi pond.
Temple’s garden is made with original design from Yoshimitsu’s days. You can find Anmintaku Pond with some statues that people throw coins there for a good luck. There are also souvenir shops and a small tea garden to take a rest and have matcha tea and sweets.
